31st January 2021 – In the framework of the 7th edition of the EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF), RES4Africa Foundation will hold two thematic workshops, dedicated to its last Grids4Africa study and to the fourth edition of the yearly Flagship Publication. Co-organised by the European Union (EU) and the African Union Commission (AUC), the EABF represents a privileged opportunity to exchange views, findings and efforts with African and European business leaders and decision makers.
The first workshop, titled The Role of the Private Sector in African Grid Development, will be held online on the 14th February 2022 (11.30 am - 1.00 pm CEST). The discussion deepen the importance of African transmission and distribution networks, related criticalities, desirable interventions and investments through the presentation of RES4Africa's most recent study, belonging to the Grids4Africa.
The second RES4Africa's digital event, Maximising the Socio-economic Gains of Africa’s Energy Transition: a Joint Public-private Sector Perspective, will take place on the 18th February 2022, between 11.30 am and 12.15 pm CEST. It will be dedicated to present the 4th edition of the yearly Flagship Publication, this year developed jointly by RES4Africa, IRENA and UNECA and centring around the key theme of socio-economic impact of the just energy transition.
