RES4Africa Launches Survey to Assess Women's Participation in North Africa's Renewable Energy Sector

RES4Africa Foundation launches a new initiative focused on advancing gender equality in the renewable energy sector in North Africa, the "Women at the Heart of the Just Energy Transition" online survey. It aims to shed light on the crucial role of women in the industry and empower them to take a leading position in shaping a sustainable future.

As the global transition towards renewable energy gains momentum, it is essential to ensure that the benefits of this transformation are inclusive and accessible to all. Women, in particular, have a vital role to play in driving this transition and achieving a sustainable, just, and equitable energy future.

To achieve this goal, RES4Africa Foundation has designed an online survey to gather valuable insights into the current representation and participation of women in the renewable energy sector across North Africa. The survey is open to individuals working in or associated with renewable/energy-related topics and value chain segments, including academia, the private sector, government, non-profit organizations, and international institutions. It will address various aspects of women's involvement in the renewable energy sector, seeking to identify barriers, best practices, and areas for improvement. Participants are encouraged to share their unique perspectives and experiences, as this will be instrumental in shaping future policies and initiatives.

Taking part in the survey is quick and easy, requiring only 7-10 minutes of your time. The survey is available in both English and French, ensuring accessibility to a broader audience. All responses will be anonymous, ensuring the utmost confidentiality and privacy.
