On the 3rd of March 2022, 10:00 – 12:30 CET, RES4Africa Foundation will hold the online event Accelerating Morocco’s Energy Transition: a Range of Opportunities, organised in the framework of the strategic programme RES4Med.
Benefitting from the opening remarks of the Italian Ambassador in Morocco, Mr. Armando Barucco, the event will aim to convene a dialogue on Morocco's clean energy transition journey by gathering a high-level discussion with key energy stakeholders and by launching two brand-new reports. During the event, RES4Africa will share policy recommendations and benchmark analysis from a study on Small-PV capacity developed with AFRY, and illustrate the market potential and barriers identified in the Green Hydrogen study developed with PwC Morocco. Moreover, the preliminary results on the preparedness of the legislative and regulatory framework of a UNECA and RES4Africa study on the Missing Link in Morocco will be presented. Finally, key players from the energy industry will discuss opportunities for smart and green cities and explore the private sector's key role in accelerating the transition.
