In light of its long-standing collaboration with its Moroccan partners and its Mediterranean program of activities which started 10 years ago, RES4Africa will hold a high-level conference on the 4th of October in Rabat, convening a stimulating public-private dialogue on further spurring Morocco’s clean energy transition. The event Accelerating the energy transition in Morocco: Challenges and opportunities in a changing world, sponsored by Siemens Gamesa, will take place in Rabat, Morocco from 9:30 to 16:30 CET (registration starting at 8:45).
The aim of the conference is to promote a discussion of the Moroccan renewable energy landscape, and to define future collaboration modalities with Moroccan partners, in view of the new priorities of the 2050 Low-carbon strategy in the current international energy context. The event will bring together local key energy stakeholders and RES4Africa members for an open conversation on current green energy developments in the country and the main challenges of the renewable energy market. Keeping in perspective the upcoming COP27, which will take place in Sharm El Sheikh in November, and where Africa will be at the center of the discussions, this event represents a unique opportunity for Morocco to reaffirm its leadership in the energy transition in the region and on the continent.
