RES4Africa continues its journey in expanding its network in the African continent: on the 14th of October, the Foundation will hold a high-level conference in Dakar, Senegal, convening a dialogue on further stimulating the country’s clean energy transition. The in-person event, organized in collaboration with ANER (Senegal Renewable Energy Association) and co sponsored by the local branch of the European Investment Bank and the European Union Delegation, will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel (Dakar Sea Plaza) from 09:00 to 16:30 CET.
Gathering representatives from local and European institutions as well as RES4Africa’s members from the energy sector, the event aims to present the Foundation’s approach and mission to Senegal’s energy stakeholders for the first time. RES4Africa will present the main findings of its three flagship programmes: the Missing Link, with the results of the analysis carried out with UNECA on the policy and regulatory framework of Senegal; renewAfrica, focusing on how to effectively de-risk investments with a focus on Senegalese stakeholders' needs in this regard; Grids4Africa, increasing awareness of grids as key enablers of the energy transition in the continent.
