RES4Africa Foundation is seeking a Capacity building Junior Project Officer to join its Micro-Grid Academy (MGA) team. In this position, the candidate will assist the RES4Africa MGA capacity building team with the preparation and implementation of standard and tailored training supporting the operations, logistics, and administrative tasks. In addition, will also support the preparation of required documents and activities to assist in the implementation of training activities and other related meetings and events.

Ideally, the candidate's background will  include:

• Bachelor degree in engineering, social/political sciences, education, international development or equivalent in related field;

• Preferably 2-3 years’ experience at least on capacity building, entrepreneurships initiative in the energy sector, renewable technologies knowledge is a plus; Knowledge of African context and interest in sustainable development in Africa particularly in Access to Energy (SDG7);

• Previous experience at the international level is desirable (governmental, multilateral, bilateral or civil society organisation, consulting firms, NGOs, with demonstrated ability to engage on a range of issues in the energy sector in African Countries..);

• Motivated, Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Tact, diplomacy and a commitment for confidentiality are fundamentals;

• Ability to work in team and alone, respecting deadlines; Negotiation and communication skills; Advanced use of Microsoft Office package;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian. Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
