On the 27th of June, RES4Africa will hold the event Youth Empowerment for Driving African Energy Transition, which will take place at the PwC Tower in Milan (Italy), from 4.00 to 7.00 pm CET.
In order to be efficiently and swiftly carried out, Africa's energy transition cannot overlook the crucial role of young generations: endowed with unprecedented knowledge, resources and technological means, Africa's youth represents more than 70% of the continent's population and it is, every day more, the true protagonist of its path towards a sustainable tomorrow.
It is therefore necessary to involve youth in the decision-making layers of companies and institutions, especially in the sector of renewable energy, which strongly relies on innovation and capacity to anticipate trends and technological advancements.
Since its foundation, RES4Africa is strongly committed in offering to young Africans first-quality capacity building (MGA, ATC) and advocacy opportunities (Youth Task Force).
In this framework, the upcoming event Youth Empowerment for Driving African Energy Transition will represent a valuable occasion to engage youth through multi-stakeholders’ discussions, networking opportunities and B2Y meetings. The event will also the occasion for the first in-presence meeting of the new Youth Task Force.
