RES4Africa Foundation and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) are pleased to announce the organisation of the technical seminar "Assessing the Openness, Attractiveness, and Readiness of African electricity markets through the R.O.A.R. Application". These online gatherings will take place on the 16 of November 2023 for English speakers and on the 14 of December 2023 for French speakers from 02:30 PM to 4 :00PM CET.
The design and implementation of effective policy and regulatory frameworks are key to attracting private investment and providing the necessary financing for sustainable infrastructure development, and contribute to achieving the vision of the African Union's Agenda 2063.
This seminar, which is the result of a long-term partnership between RES4Africa and UNECA will provide an opportunity to present the R.O.A.R. software as a tool to assess the Openness, Attractiveness, and Readiness of policy and regulatory frameworks and enhance private sector participation within the African electricity markets. R.O.A.R. has been developed in collaboration with AFRY, and is a major output of RES4Africa's Missing Link programme, supported by the Enel Foundation as a knowledge partner.
The seminar will provide technical training on the new regulatory application for assessing national regulations and advancing private investments in electricity infrastructures across Africa.

La conception et la mise en œuvre de cadres politiques et réglementaires efficaces sont essentiels pour attirer les investissements privés et fournir le financement nécessaire au développement durable des infrastructures et contribuent à la réalisation de la vision de l'Agenda 2063 de l'Union Africaine.
Ce séminaire, qui est le résultat d'un partenariat à long terme entre RES4Africa et l'UNECA, offrira l'occasion de présenter le logiciel R.O.A.R. comme un outil permettant d'évaluer l'Ouverture, l'Attractivité et la Préparation des cadres politiques et réglementaires et d'accroître la participation du secteur privé aux marchés africains de l'électricité. R.O.A.R., développé en collaboration avec AFRY, est un produit majeur du programme Missing Link de RES4Africa, soutenu par notre parnaire la Fondation Enel.
Le séminaire fournira une formation technique sur le nouveau cadre réglementaire pour évaluer les législations nationales et promouvoir les investissements privés dans les infrastructures électriques dans toute l'Afrique.
