As part of the Grids4Africa initiative, RES4Africa is seeking a consulting firm/consultant to prepare a report on frugal innovation for grid development. The study aims to demonstrate the importance of grid digitalization in effectively managing distribution grids, with a focus on regions like Africa, Latin America, and Asia. The consultant conducting the research will showcase the progress made in this area by gathering examples of cost-effective digital solutions and their successful implementation. Additionally, the study will identify the main challenges faced by distribution grids in these regions and examine how digital solutions have addressed these issues, analysing the outcomes.
